Carrots, sliced600 g

Water150 ml

Butter25 g

Brown sugar1 tbsp

Fine salt¼ tsp

Parsley, chopped1 tbsp

SimmerPut carrots, water, butter, sugar and salt into a wide pan. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 8 minutes.

Reduce glazeUncover and cook 5–8 minutes, tossing, until carrots are tender and the liquid becomes a shiny coating.

FinishScatter parsley over the glazed carrots and serve.
